Someday I'll be part of your world......

How cool is this! My favourite Disney movie, and even I fell in love with Prince Eric and I too wanted to be part of his world like Ariel did..... You Are Ariel! Headstrong and fiesty. You have a mind of your own that's full of romantic dreams about the world around you. Exploring exotic places is your ultimate dream, and although you can be a little naive you'll realize that there is something to be gained from your family's wisdom. Which Disney Princess Are You? Hmm... there is some truth in the last two lines....

Black gum....

Well, so far nobody has turned up... I am at work and the guys who sit in my bay haven't turned up yet. So I guess it is going to be a quiet day... no easy banter to while away the breaks. What else is happening, Jeffrey Archer was in town... I should have gone to see him. It would have been worth it, to meet an author. I mean when else will I get a chance to meet another renowned literary figure. Coming to that, authors I would like to meet are; Enid Blyton, Arthur Conan Doyle, John Grisham, Frank McCourt, Charlotte Bronte, A. J. Cronin, and a few others... I've been traveling by train the past few days and I see these small kids with their vagabond parents shuffling from one train to another. This one small girl, no more than 8 years of age, pretty with an unkempt air about her was chewing a small wad of gum. She removes it with her extremely dirty hands, looks at it, then places it on the floor of the train and rolls it. She keeps rolling and rolling that piece of gum on t

Thank God for Quotes.....

My eyes are crying out for mercy... if I could I would pull them off or detach them and drop them in cold water. That would make them happy.... how did man get reduced to this plight, of staring into a screen and making his universe work for him. I stare into the screen and all I get is a headache. And now I am doomed, nothing I do seems to satisfy him (my boss at work).. either its over the top or its too little... and now I have to rework the entire structure again. Well a friend once sent me this quote, "Blessed is the person who is too busy to worry in the daytime and too sleepy to worry at night." I am ready to swear by this quote it has saved my life many a times...

Stealing Cinderella

I'm in love with this song...... and the singer, Chuck Wicks Stealing Cinderella I came to see her daddy for sit down man to man It wasn't any secret I'd be asking for her hand I guess that's why he left me waiting in the living room by myself With at least a dozen pictures of her sitting on a shelf CHORUS : She was playing Cinderella, She was riding her first bike Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight Running through the sprinklers with a big popsicle grin Dancing with her dad, looking up at him In her eyes i'm Prince Charming But to him i'm just some fella riding in and stealing Cinderella I leaned in towards those pictures to get a better look at one When I heard a voice behind me say "Now, ain't she something, son?" I said "Yes, she's quite a woman" and he just stared at me Then I realized that in his eyes she would always be Playing Cinderella, Riding her first bike Bouncing on the bed and looki

St. Thomas Mount

St. Thomas Mount is believed to be the place where St. Thomas, one of the 12 disciples of Jesus was martyred. We visited this place a few days back, here are a few pictures... This Banyan tree was so cool... kinda spooky but awe inspiring. This is the shrine built at the exact spot where the saint was hunted down and killed. This is the cross that St. Thomas carved out of a slab of stone while he lived on the mount. It must have taken him ages to carve that... it's solid rock. A relic of the saint, a small piece of the saint's bone is preserved here... This is the picture that St. Luke painted and St. Thomas carried it with him to India ages ago. And here is the plaque, explaining it all....
